The Steveston Tram’s Junior Conductor program was relaunched on Family Day 2023, where young visitors were given punch cards to record repeat visits to the Tram, and collect buttons to commemorate each level of achievement — the first level is “Bronze” with 5 visits, then “Silver” for 10 visits, “Gold” for 15, and so on .
A huge congratulations to little Miss K., the first Junior Conductor to ever receive a Legend badge for visiting an impressive 50 times!
Miss K. first visited us in April of this year, a few months after the relaunch of the Junior Conductor program. Since then, she has shown incredible determination and dedication to earn her Legend badge on October 14, 2023, in just six months.
After misplacing her first Bronze level badge and ticket punch card (soon replaced), she has gone from strength to strength since then, powering through each of the levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum, and now Legend.
To reach 50 visits, Miss K. visited regularly on weekends and over the summer she came almost daily. Her wonderfully patient grandfather lives near the Steveston Tram and first brought her by to explore the beautifully restored Tram Car 1220 and the hands-on exhibits. When Miss K. earned her Legend badge, he even bought her a special photo frame to display all of her Junior Conductor tickets and badges.
Well done Miss K! We hope you are the first of many to achieve Legend status.
