Thank you to our Volunteers

National Volunteer Week 2024

To celebrate this year’s National Volunteer Week (April 14 to 20, 2024), we join other City of Richmond sites to express our appreciation to volunteers who generously contribute their time and support throughout the year.

Last year (2023) our volunteer statistics were impressive for a small site like the Steveston Tram:

Volunteers: 40

Hours: 389

Volunteer Programming Opportunities: 13

Tram Visitors: 47,431

Participants in Steveston Tram’s Public Programs and Events: 22,104 (46% of all visitors)

This means that without volunteers, almost half of all visitors to the Tram would not have enjoyed public programs, special events, or enhanced heritage interpretation.

2024’s volunteer numbers will be even more impressive with 37 volunteers contributing 325 hours across 6 opportunities so far (and it’s only April!).

So to all volunteers who have ever helped us, a sincere and enormous THANK YOU!
