DESCRIPTION:What would you pack if you were given a moment’s notice before being forcibly uprooted from your home? The Suitcase Project is traveling exhibit created by Kayla Isomura in collaboration with the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre. \nView photos of items chosen by yonsei (fourth generation) and gosei (fifth generation) Japanese Canadian and American descendants of families who were uprooted form their homes during their internment in the Second World War. Stories and artefacts from local families bring the Steveston connection to closer to home.

DESCRIPTION:The Steveston Folk Guild welcomes the duo of  Fleetham Stevens\, consisting of songwriters Doug Fleetham and Shelley Stevens. Both have a long and extensive history in the Vancouver music scene\, performing with numerous bands such as “Desperate Measures”\, “The Bent Nails”\, and the “The Honey Flowers”. \nWith Doug on guitar and Shelley on guitar and banjo\,  they are known for their quirky\, original harmony -laced Canadiana music.
