SUMMARY:Ex-Forest Service Vessel Squadron Rendezvous
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the docks of Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site as we host members of BC’s ex-Forest Service Vessel Squadron for the their annual boat rendezvous\, held over the August long weekend in Steveston. Open Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 4pm. \nThe docks behind the Seine Net Loft will be open from 12 to 4pm to get up close to the former BC Forest Service Vessels and their captains. The Richmond Boat Builders workshop will have fascinating demos and activities featuring the boat building tools and techniques\, past and present. \nFor a unique tour of the Fraser River estuary on a former west coast forestry workboat\, check out the Voyage of the Gikumi\, a tour-hour river boat tour offered on August 2\, 3\, 16 & 17. \nFor more information on what’s happening this weekend\, and for a list of visiting vessels\, see – “Docks Open for Boat Rendezvous”

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, August 10\, 2025 from 10am to 4pm for the annual Family Farm Day at London Farm in Steveston. \nEnjoy a variety of activities for all ages\, including live music\, kids’ entertainment\, arts and crafts\, pony rides\, face painting and much more\, all within the historic London Farm setting. \nLive Music and Entertainment: \nEnjoy live music performances by Murphy and The Cats and children’s entertainment by Stories on Wheels. \nAnimal Encounters: \nExperience pony rides\, a “Rabbits Meet n’ Treat” hosted by Rabbitats\, and a raptor display by OWL (Orphaned Wildlife). \nHands-on Activities: \nParticipate in kids’ woodshop building projects from The Home Depot\, LEGO building with the Vancouver LEGO Club\, balloon twisting\, and face painting. \nFood and Refreshments: \nPizza food truck and a concession stand will be available. \nParking and Shuttle: \nLimited parking is available along Dyke Road\, with a FREE shuttle service operating between Homma Elementary School and London Farm.
