National Volunteer Week: April 27 to May 3, 2025
In celebration of National Volunteer Week we acknowledge the invaluable contributions of our volunteers.
National Volunteer Week is a time to celebrate and thank the millions of volunteers across this country. Pictured below are some of our volunteers. These are just a few who have dedicated their time to making Britannia Shipyards an even more memorable place.
Last year, 123 volunteers at the Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site, contributing over 2000 hours of their valuable time.
This includes the Heritage Ambassadors who volunteer weekly to enhance the visitor experience, Education Docents who support the school programs, Garden Volunteers who take great care of the beautiful Murakami Garden, and the Special Event volunteers who assist in various ways to help our events run smoothly.
Every one of our volunteers play an important role and we are so lucky to have them!
