The 13th annual Grand Prix of Art returns to Steveston on Saturday, July 22nd.
This popular event welcomes artists from around the province of BC and beyond, who are invited to participate in a day of plein-air painting. Spread across a blooming community filled with culture, history and beauty, artists will show their skills by racing against time, and visiting public are invited to watch them all in action!
On the day of the event, participating artists will be allocated a location by lottery where they will have three hours to complete a work of art before returning it for display. From 12:00 pm onwards, there will be live music and food trucks for everyone to enjoy at the Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site.
The artists’ finished pieces will be on display and for sale in the Seine Net Loft throughout the weekend of Saturday, July 22nd and Sunday, July 23rd.
Registration is open June 1st for all three categories: Masters, Adult Open and Youth. Registration is available on this webpage.
